Outstanding Hitter of the Month - OF Eduardo DeLeon
DeLeon led the team with 6 homers, 16 RBIs and an average of .303. This is DeLeon's first season as a starter and he looks to be the team's rightfielder next season as well, unless Ramon Gutierrez can grab the starting CF spot in the spring. If that happens, DeLeon will battle Alfredo Salazar the current (when not injured) centerfielder for the rightfield job.
Outstanding Pitcher of the Month - SP Manuel Mariscal
Mariscal went 3-1 for the month with a 3.69 ERA. He was the only hurler on the team to post a winning record and the only starter to post an ERA under 5. The veteran is in his fifth season as a starter for the Marauders and is having his best season since his phenomenal rookie year in 2000 when he went 18-1 and was the Rookie of the Year. While not approaching that mark, Mariscal hopes to post a winning record this year.
