Fox Mulder Retires

Calgary’s pitching coach, Fox Mulder, has announced his retirement from the team. A longtime Calgary player and minor league coach, Mulder has been with the Pioneers for the past 5 seasons in his current capacity. During this time, Calgary’s pitching staff has struggled and there were rumors the team was considering a change. Mulder’s decision makes things easier for the team.

“I have enjoyed my years with this organization going back over 40 years and I want to believe that I have given it the best” said Mulder. “But I am 65 and it is time for a change. Remember, the truth is out there.”

Mulder spent 11 years in Calgary before finishing up with Carolina. Mulder was part of both of the Pioneer’s championship teams and twice was selected as an All Star. His career record was 116-122. 4.16 ERA. He topped 200 strikeouts 5 times during his career and was known as a hard thrower.

After his playing career ended in 2025, Mulder spent time traveling and writing about paranormal experiences. However, he longed to get back to the ball park and joined the team in 2039 as a minor league coach. From 2039-2051 his team’s posted a winning record every year and he won championships in Havana (SA) his first year and again in 2045 at Duluth (AA). His final 4 years were another story.
