Stinson and Ottoboni Notch #300

Two Calgary Pioneers passed the 300 mark this year. Larry Stinson hit his 300th home run and Joel Ottoboni registered his 300th save. Stinson was the team’s triple crown winner among it’s hitters, while Ottoboni had a typical season closing out games.

When the team traded for Stinson they were looking for a big bat to anchor the lineup. That is exactly what they got from him this season. Stinson hit .316, 43 HR and 118 RBI’s. His 43 homers tied for the lead in the JL and 1.023 OPS was second in the league. Stinson finished the season with 325 home runs. The 27 year old has a very good chance to finish his career among the premiere home runs hitters in BBA history.

It looks like he will win his 5th Puckett Award and he was selected to his 3rd All Star team. While he won’t win the Silk, like he did in 2043, he is expected to finish 3rd in this year’s voting.

Ottoboni was 2-6-35, 3.91 ERA and 1.06 WHIP for the season. He finished with 305 saves, 3rd best in league history, and if he pitches next year like he did this season he will take the team lead.
