Calgary Breaks Attendance Record

The Calgary Pioneers reported that a record 4,208,058 fans attended games at The Stockyard this year. This broke the previous high of 4,187,593 set in 2034. The team averaged 51,951 fans per game an increase of 13% over last year.

“Nothing packs them in like winning,” Pioneer GM Kevin Dickson said. “Plus even though this park isn’t the newest in the league it is still the best place to watch a game in the BBA.”

The Stockyard was built in 2024 and is among the older stadiums in the league. A state of the art park when built, the park is starting to show its age. It has has been upgraded several times and now boasts nearly 60,000 seats. There are no plans or major upgrades this off season, nor are there any plans to move the fences again.

The team actually sold fewer season tickets this season compared to last. Attendance really took off in June and the team sold out several games during the stretch. There are rumors that the team may actually drop ticket prices next season to thank fans for their continued support. The team can afford it as they have been one of the most financially successful teams in the league for many years.
