Crawdad Chronicles 63.05 - Staff Evaluations Underway

GM Jim Roberts, fresh off the most disapointing season in half a century is performing an evaluation of the entire coaching staff - from top to bottom.

Manager Luis Hernandez is high on the list - and potentially on the chopping block

Hernandez was on the top of the world 8 years ago after service as Bench Coach and Manager in Nashville. He won the landis in 2050, and made the playoffs 6 times, incuding his last 2 years as manager of the Bluebirds.

Then - for some unknown reason - he decided to venture to the other side of the volunteer state - and take over as manager of the Memphis Chicks, a AA affiliate of the (Now) Cobble Hill Robins. His luck turned. In 3 seasons as manager, he went 128-292 - which immediatly sent GM Jim Roberts on a plane to bring him down to New Orleans.

So he did. Gave him a 1.5M/year contract. And now, he is driving the crawdads to the same sucess he had in memphis.

One more year left on his contract - New Orleans may be looknig for a new leader. Or....maybe...New Orleans will throw in the towel - let him stick around one more year and let his contract expire.

New Orleans will be looking at all of the staff and making some critical decisions in the coming days and weeks.
