Crawdad Chronicles 62.06 - Wild Things Ready to Roar

Post by JimBob2232 » Fri Apr 11, 2025 5:39 am

New Orleans needs bulpen help - but unfortunatly for them, it may come with the Big Easys rendition of the Wild Things.

MR Cesar Castro has a nasty fastball and curveball. Throws 96 MPH, but cant find the plate. He pitched well in AAA with 24 saves and a 3.81 ERA, but also walked 47 batters in 51 innings. His 11/7/2 rating is quite concerning.

Similarly, MR Bob Rolf shot up the potential boards late last season - to an 11/5/4 potential. He made the leap from SA to AAA this year, but struggled. He is probably a year or two out from the big leagues (if he makes it at all). But like Castro, he has a nasty Slider and Cutter, and can throw 101 MPH, but his accuracy just isnt there either.

New Orleans hopes both players can continue to develop - because they desperatly need some bullpen help in the coming seasons

I think the stuff bumps are mostly isolated to relievers. Lots of sick relievers showing up in the draft pools these days.

I think this has happened less for me because I don't prioritize stuff since it often comes with weak control and I despise walks with the passion of a thousand suns.

I've been trading my stuff bumpers. As a result, Toledo has Manuel Parra and Calgary has Kelly Sims and Shi-yu Chiu.
