today new orleans announced they have dealt Jack Dark and his 4M salary to the Birmingham Bandits in exchange for your hurler Bill Sellers. Jack Dark has been a productive member of the Crawdads for many years, but needed to be traded due to his high salary. The team is currently -15M in the hole, and needed to free up some free space under the cap.

In return they get 22 year old Bill Sellers to bolster their minor league bullpen. They also get some much coveted salary cap room which can be used next offseason to aquire some key peices to the puzzle.

With Dark out of the picture, look for Willie Williams to man 1B this season, and Pepper Brooks to be manning the hot corner.
