Micah Harrington came to the crawdads in a trade for SP Billy Kelly. Although Kelly went on to win the Nebraska award in 2049, Harrington has been solid in New Orleans as well, but nowhere close to Kelly or the expectations the crawdads had for him.
in a season shortened by a sore sholder, he went 5-6 with a 3.69 ERA. Last season he was 16-9 with a 3.78 ERA
The 28 year old has one year left of team control, with a 6.2M arb estimate. He is looking for a long term deal to stay in New Orleans. "this is where i want to be, but this is a business, so we'll see what happens".
He is reportedly seeking a $10M/year deal, which is a lot for a 6 year veteran with only one all star game appearnce.
Still, New orleans is an aging team, and at 28 Micah is on the younger side. It might be in their best interest to lock hum up until he is 32 or 33.
Then again, he is coming off an injury season where he showed a decline. Will be an interesting one to watch this offseason.
