Crawdad Chronicles 58.06 - Thomas Jefferson - A Leader when it matters

Post by JimBob2232 » Sat Apr 13, 2024 5:56 am

2B Thomas Jefferson was signed by the new orleans crawdads to fill a significant hole in their infield. T.J. as he is known by his friends - did just that.

Although his defense wasnt specatacualr, a -6.0ZR at 2B, but only 3 errors in 142 games - his bat was adeqate. Hitting a .284 with a .341 OBP - he was merely adequate. But that was a big step up from where nEw Orleans was in 2057. GM jim robert will take "adequate"

But the 32 year old from Charlotesville Virginia, not yet old engouh to be president, displayed extraordinary leadership in teh Geghogan round and wound up as the MVP of that round. This was his first ever playoff experience and he did not disapoint.

For the series sweep over Phoenix, Jefferson hit .462 with a .500 OBP, including a critical hit in the 3rd inning of the opener driving in what proved to be the game-winning run. In game 2, TJ drove in the first run of the game, and New Orleans never looked back.

When his career is over, nobody is going to write stories on him that anyone will remember. But for the this one moment in New Orleans, he will forever be in the record books.
