Crawdad Chronicles 57.05 - Estrada to test Free Agency

It is expected that star 1B/LF Luis Estrada will test Free Agency. Estrada has been with the new orleans each of the last 10 seasons, and has hit over 250 Home Runs.

The 3 time all star and 2056 comeback player of the year hit .272/.366/.585 in 2057 with a team leading 44 HRs. 44HRs was a key number in New Orleans success this sesoan. The Crawdads are historically known for being a team that can hit the long-ball with ease. But in 2057, Estrada hit more than 1/3 of the crawdads 142 Home Runs (14th in the FL).

But the asking price fro Estradas camp appears to be in the 6 year/70M camp, and although the Crawdads would love to keep the 2051 Landis series MVP in the fold for the future, thats a lot of money to spend on a corner outfielder who has seen most of his recent time playing first base.

I'd expect New Orleans to try to reach a deal with Estrada. But unless things drastically change - they will have to comepte for him in Free Agency with a bunch of other clubs who will no doubt be interested in him.
