New Orleans is likely to let SP Steve Anderton test Free Agency.

Anderson went 9-7 this season. He also had 12 saves out of the bullpen.

Anderson started his career as UMEBA's #2 pick by the Riyad Red Cresent in 2046. He quickly rose to being one of the top prospects in the UMEBA. In 2051, New Orleans signed him to a 3 year 12M contract to bring him over to the BBA where he was quickly rankged as the #21 prospect in the BBA,

Since he has been with New Orleans he has been a solid player. 55-54 overall record, 4.36 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 15.1 WAR. Given that New Orleans defense is generally abysmal - thats not to bad, albeit not great for a middle of the road SP.

Despite all that history, Anderton is still just 27 years old. But he is looking for a $10M+/year salary. Perhaps some team will become seduced by his blue and green bars and be able to surround him wiht the right talent to be an all star, but New Orleans does not appear poised to give him that chance here. There is only so much you can sink into a pitcher with a 4.70 ERA.

Anderton will be an interesting player to watch in Free Agency.
