Crawdad Chronicles 56.02 - New Orleans releases the Manchild

After losign to new orlenans and ending the season, The New Orleans Crawdads have anounced they have released SS Fred Manchild.

Manchild was signed as a Free Agent last offseason, As New Orleans was despearate to find someone to man the left side of the infield. Manchild was forced into duty at shortstop - a position he is not well equipped to play. In roughly half a season he commited 20 errors at shortstop.

He fared considerably better at second base - but that wasnt where New Orleans needed him.

ManChild found himself on the outside looking in. His bat was merely adequate. His defense putrid. And he wasnt even usually the best DH new orleans could field.

So with his nearly $5M salary locked in for next year - the crawdads are moving on, and hope to find a better way to shore up their infield in 2057
