Crawdad Chronicles 55.05 - Jared Boll Re-signed

The New Orleans Crawdads announced that they have signed OF Jared Boll to a 3 year $11M extension.

Boll was rumored as almost traded at the trade deadline - but GM Jim Roberts ultimately decided to extend him for 3 more years.

Boll is a solid Center Fielder, with top end speed. His bat is serviceable, and he has a tendency to hit leadoff in the New Orleans lineup.

Just because he is resigned doesn't necessarily mean he will be the first batter to step in to the box in New Orleans in 2056. Jim Roberts appears to be lookign to shake things up, so Boll may still be on the outs.

But regardless, Roberts clearly felt it was better to resign him than let him hit Free Agency.
