The New Orleans crawdads and Mal Fountain are set to part ways.
The 33 year old fountain has been with the Crawdaads for the last eleven years. He has ammassed 298 HRs, and over 1700 hits.
Unfortunatly the crawdads are looking to get younger, and Fountain is unlikely to be in their plans for 2055. GM Jim Roberts seemed to indicate that as well. "We love Mal. He has been amazing here. We'd love to find a way to keep him, but its probably unliekly at this point"
Fountains agent is seeking a 6 year deal - with guaranteed amounts exceeding 70M. If he gets that kind of cash, it will probably need to be with a separate club.
An excellent fielder as well, he won the Yogi Zimmer award in 2050, and won a Landis with the Crawdads in 2051.
