One of the big issues in New Orleans was defense. But nailing that down a bit more - the ineptitude that was out second basemen.
The primary second baseman was Mahine Keretu. Mahine has a solid bat - hitting 23 HRs, 156 hits, .259 average - but his defense was so atrotious he finished with a -1.4 WAR
How bad? Lets dive in.
In 107 games started at 2B, he had 26 errors. OOF. A ZR of -18.9. Double OOF, And an efficincy of .869 - Triple OOF.
Things didnt change when Tashfin Mahina came in. He started 54 games, had 10 erors, a ZR of -5.9 and an marginally better efficiency at .919.
GM Jim Roberts downt think its unreasonable to think those errors cost the team 10 games this year. "Its definitely an area we need to address this offseasaon" Roberts said.

Re: Crawdad Chronicles 53.02 - Second Base Dropsies
Defense is the one thing that the Outlaws are good at. The Crawdads absolutely are not.
