Crawdad Chronicles 49.03 - Crawdads Rocky 2049 with surprising end

In 2049 the Crawdads had a rocky season. April was a disaster goign 11-15. June was gangbusters at 18-9, then they trailed off and played slightly above .500 ball in July and August before recovering in september at 16-11 and then marching to the cartwright cup series.

It wasnt just the record that was up and down. Star Starting Pitchers Christian Garcia, James Browning, and Don Smith each spent significant time on the DL.

And the team chemistry was rocked a bit - with several disruptive influences and slackish.selfish players in the clubhouse.

New Orleans relied upon backup C Cesar Pena to keep things straight. It was a challange Jim Roberts said. These guys played hard every day - but we werent even close to as cohesive in the clubhouse as i have seen in the past.

Winning cures all as they say. C Rainier Scheffer seemed to be the main culprit - and New Orlenans was rumored to consider cutting him in favoor of Phenom Tatlock, but it never happened. Either way - its unlikely to think he will be back in 2050. That should help, but New Orleans may need to pony up some special potions (i.e. PP) to fix some o the other glaring chemistry issues.
