New Orleans invested a lot in James Browning in the 2047 off season. After 7 seasons in Lousiville, including 2 all star appearces, New Orleans was hoping he would bring his 70-26 career record to the big easy - and his career .246 ERA - and cement himself as a top 2 starter for the Crawdads.
But...the fragile Browning was damaged goods. After signing a 3 year - 44M deal, he pitched only 17 games - going 6-4 with a 4.15 ERA. In April he went down for 6 weeks with a dead arm. Then he strained his oblique. Then he had back spasms. And then he injured his hamstring in september keeping him out down the stretch.
New Orleans is checking his other muscles - because clearly they must have been hurt too.
