GM Jim Roberts really didnt want to call up Christian Burgos this season. He was content to let him sit in AAA and finish his development process before starting with teh club in 2049. However, with a huge rash of injuries, he was called up in June and never went back down. How could he? He won his first 3 games, and 6 of the first 7.

He finished with a 11-6 record and 3.21 ERA - which should earn him some serious consideration for the rookie of the year.

And he still has a lot more room for growth. His pitch selection is just average at this point. And he can put a little more "stuff" on his fastball. Assuming continued development - he could be an all star type player for many years in teh big easy.
