New Orleans has fired long time manager Eric Bell

Bell was originally hired as the Manager for the Crawdads in 2039. He had immediate success going 92-70 in his first year, and making the playoffs each of his first six seasons. But last year the team regressed to 83 wins and missed the playoffs, and this season they went just 62-80 under his tenure.

New Orleans has bought out the last year of his contract and immediately instilled pitching coach and 2 time Nebraska winner Jimmy McCabe as interim manager for the remainder of 2046. Mike Swanson was named interim pitching coach.

The Crawdads will immediatly being a nationwide search for the next manager
