Three years ago, New Orleans invested in what they thought was a franchise saving player, Resurrection Santos. To say this was experiement did not turn out as planned is an understatement, and some sources close to the team indicate that the Crawdads may be looking to part ways after just 2 seasons in the Big Easy.

Last year Resurrection hit just .260 with 15 home runs. Not exactly the production you expect from a $19M a year player. With Christopher Terry still on the roster, Kengos coming back from injury, and young phenom Tony Alverez waiting in the wings...the time is now or never for "The Franchise.

If he doesnt turn it around in 2003, Mr. Santos might have to Resurrect his Career in another city.

At the price, that was not going to turn out well. I had planned to keep an eye on him if he was still an FA once the season started...prices tend to start dropping. Still, no one could have predicted a dropoff like that! What's his greed and work ethic?
