Crawdad Chronicles 44.05 - The Fountain is On

3B Mal Fountain has been turned on.

The first round pick in the 2039 draft class has finally arrived. He spent the full year in New Orleans, startign 154 games, hitting .253/.317/.460 with 28 HRs and 73 R'sBI. Unfortunatly fielding does not appear to be his strong suit - finishing the year with a -3.2 ZR at 3B and 17 errors

He finished his 2044 season by earning MVP of the Geghohgan round.

It was a slow start to the year. Fountain hit .219 in April. He didnt get his average above .230 until 1 July. In July and August he hit .319 and .327 respectively. GM Jim Roberts hopes that growth will continue in 2045. "We're looking for good things. There is a lot of good in 2044, but we need him not to lead the league in Strikeouts nextyear. Thats a good place to start!"
