Crawdad Chronicles 44.03 Pitching shines in 2044

Post by JimBob2232 » Tue Nov 10, 2020 3:51 pm

The new Orleans Crawdads had a great season, going 97-65. Wasnt good enough to win the Johson- atlantic, but was good enough for 2nd place with the same record San Antonio took the pacific.

Although the hitting was the big problem, New Orleans pitching was the bright spot. Finishing first in the JL in pitching ERA, Starters ERA, Runs allowed, hits allowed, BABIP and OAA. This look is at New Orleans Starting staff this year.

Jim Armstrong - With a recenly minted 92M contract, Armstrong did not disapoint. 260 strikeouts (12.7/9) a 5.4 WAR, to go along with a 13-8 record and a 2.78 ERA. Toss is a 0.89 WHIP and he is by far one of the most dominant pitchers in the league in 2044.

Christian Garcia - 16-5 with a 2.90 ERA 5.0 WAR and a 0.99 WHIP.

Gilberto Nevarez - Former #1 prospect. People said his changeup would never develop, but its a 7 now. Not many better #3s in the game. He went 16-11 with a 2.99 ERA and 4.7 WAR. The future is bright for Nev.

Jerry Pacy - An unheralded #4 guy for years. He put up his 6th stragight 10 win season. 3.45 ERA and 1.8 WAR. Moderate numbers for his 11M salary. But still probably good enough for New Orleans to execute his option for 2045.

Yamagucchi - Time may have finally caught up to him. 12-9 record. 4.27 ERA. Looks to have finished up his career in NO wih 133 Wins - good for 10th all time in New Orlans
