The New Orleans crawdads are ready for a playoff run. After making the playoffs for the first time since 2035, and the winning their first division championship since 2028, the future is looking bright.

And the near term is looking bright as well. The 2039 season wasnt terrible from an injurty perspective. They lose SS Harlam Moore (https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 17620.html) to a fractured ankle in July. He was out for 3 months, but should be ready for their playoff opener against Jacksonville. Moore was a risky free agent signing. New Orleans knew that. Moore, 32, had only played 6 games in 2038 with Calgary while he delt with injuries ranging from an achilles to a torn groin. He has also had numerous back and knee issues in his career. None-the-less, new orleans was desperate for a SS, and moore fit the bill. Frankly, his 78 games this year is more than what New Orleans expected they could get out him He should be back for the playoffs and will hopefully offer a big improvement over Lorenzo Gonzales (https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 32572.html), who might be left unprotected in the expansion draft, and verteran Reynoldo ruiz (https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 31508.html), whos days in the big easy appear numbered.

Another big name coming off the DL is MR Jason morris (https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 21195.html). Morris, 35, was another big free agent signing to sure up a hole in the pen. In his 38 games he had a 3.20 ERA, 16 saves and a 1.07 WHIP before going down with a strained oblique in September. His arm as a setup man will be greatly needed if New Orleans hopes to hold off Jacksonville.

There are no other player son teh DL currently, so New Orleans is healthy, and ready to make a run.
