If you havent heard the name Juan Donestavez https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 43014.html, perhaps now is a time to start. The 18 year old phenom has progressed well beyond expecations in New Orleans, and might even be ready for the big league squad next year.

Donestavez, drafted 15th in the famous 2038 draft, has a great bat. His current line of 8/9/5/6/9 is almost maxed out to his potential, although his potential has also gotten a few bumps her recently as well. He has above average defense, and speed, and is sure to be a mainstay in the BBA for years to come.

GM Jim Roberts noted "its really amazing how quickly he has picked the pro game up". In just one full season, Donestavez has gone from a 2 contact, 3 power, 3 rating to a 8/5/9 split. His performance against lefties seems to drag a bit, but nonethe less he should be serviceable as an every day player.

New Orleans typically doesnt call guys up too early, but it might be hard to let him fester in the minor leagues much more. He will probably start next season at AAA, and barring a major collapse, will likely be a september callup if not sooner. "We'd like him to develop his defense a bit more and maybe take some steroids or something to boost his power numbers" said AA manager Jose Souza.
