Crawdad Chronicles 36.03 - BREAKING: Manager Francisco Hernandez will not be re-signed in New Orleans

Post by JimBob2232 » Sat Nov 17, 2018 7:23 am

The Crawdad Chronicles has just learned that GM Jim Roberts has told Manager Francisco Hernandez that he will not be the manager of the club in 2037.

Hernandez led the club to a disapointing 2016 season, going 77-85 in his second season with the club. Hernandez was previously the Manager of San Antonio, Birmingham Bandits and the Madrid Madators of the (now defunct) EBA.

Hernandez was managing AA ball for Corpus Christi in 2035 when the 'Dads called him up about halfway through the season. In his interim role, he went 50-37, earning him a playoff run, and a chance in 2036. Apparently that success was short-lived.

With New Orleans desire for winning, his hire was a bit of a surprise. In his 8 seasons as a MBBA manager, he has never won his division, and only made the playoffs 3 times. His best season was with San Antonio in 2032 going 93-69.

New Orleans will now look for their next manager, whcih seems to be revolving door here lately. Internal candidates include Shan Ren, manager of AAA Havana, long time Bench Coach Xavier Gonzales, and pitching coach Joe Miller.
