Crawdad Chronicles 34.04 - Cravat off to a HUGE Start

Post by JimBob2232 » Sun Apr 29, 2018 5:13 am

1B Yancy Cravatis off to a huge start in New Orleans.

Since being called up in late July, Cravat has appeared in 38 games, and has hit 14 home runs. That means, given an entire season to work with, cravat is on pace to hit almost 60 HRs.

While that may be a stretch goal for next season, its not impossible. Cravat is one of the most dangerous long ball hitters that the league has seen in a while.

The concern with Cravat has always been his glove. A 3B in the minor leagues, cravat made the switch over to 1B earlier this season. He has made great strides, but there is still more work to be done. "He has made 6 errors this year, and has a negative ZR, so we gotta work on that".

For now, New Orleans is alternating him withLuke Pratt at 1B and DH to keep them both in the lineup.

That means that 1B Juan Parrais likely on the outs in New Orleans. Just not enough spots to keep them all in the lineup.

Since this guy is going to be around for a while, can you tell the equipment manager to get him a hat?
