Crawdad Chronicles 32.03 - Pedro Canales Demands Trade

Tensions are high in New Orleans. After missing the playoffs for the second straight year, there seems to be more brewing under the surface.

Two key coaches were let go in the middle of the season, and now rumor has it that OF Pedro Canales has demanded a trade. The 31 year old Canales, who only played in 53 games this season, mostly due to his poor defense, notched a career low 7 home runs. He is only a skeleton of the player who just 5 seasons ago lead the Frick league with 50 home runs.

We are all frustrated said GM Jim Roberts. We'll make some moves this offseason and be back. Trading Canales wont be easy though. His 9M salary next season might be hard for a trade suitor to deal with, but they will undobtably listen to offers.
