New Orleans GM Jim Roberts, frustrated with the recent struggles on offense, has fired their Hitting Coach and Bench Coach, effective immediatly.

"We appreciate their service to our team" GM Jim Roberts noted "We just felt it best to go a different direction"

For the last several seasons, New Orleans has had a very dominant pitching staff, but the offensive bats just werent clicking. Two constant forces over those seasons are Hitting Coach George Whittaker and Bench Coach Micheal Moreno. Both jointed the team before the 2028 season.

New Orleans has promoted HC John Bibler from AAA Havana. No word from the team as to who will wind up replacing Moreno as Bench Coach.

This move was unexpected, but with New Orleans struggling at the plate this season, apparently Jim Roberts felt now was the time to make the move. "Look, unless things turn around drastically, its unlikely we will make the playoffs this season" "I wanted to be fair to George and Mike, and give them an opportunity to latch on somewhere else."

Unless things improve, which is hard to forecast, New Orleans might find them selves below .500 for the first time since 2011.
