At least that seems to be the message Champ Kind is getting these days. Champ is disgruntles becasue he is not the #1 catcher in New Orleans anymore. That honor belongs to rookie Connor Keeley. The rookie has it all, Offense, Speed, Defense. But that doesnt mean Champ is washed up.
At a mere 30 years of age, Champ has had 6 consecutive 20+ home run seasons. During the 1995 offseason Kind Signed a 5-year contract extension worth a total of $39,800,000. If in fact New Orleans moves on, Expect Champ to be a hot commodity on the trade frint.
