Crawdad Chronicles 99.5 - Catcher in the Middle

Post by JimBob2232 » Mon Jan 24, 2011 12:34 pm

New Orleans has had a backlog at the Catcher position for a number of years. Champ Kind has solidified himself as the #1 guy...or has he? This past season, New Orleans was able to off-load C Mathias Ferraro to Division Rival DesMoines. He only hit .309 with 20 HRs. Now Conner Keeley, the #2 prospect in the game is poised to take Champ's spot.

Its not often that a 29 year old, 2 time all-star with nearly 200 Home Runs gets displaced. But there is just no room at the inn. First base is occupied by Phenom Reggie Morales.

Look for Champ Kind to start the year behind the plate...but Conner Keeley is knocking on the door.

You could play Morales at third base if you pair him with an extremely rangy shortstop (hint hint, Yahoo! is available).
