RF Pedro "Truck Stop" Salazar had a big year in New Orleans.

The former 10th round pick was an unlikely success story in the big easy. The 26 year old Salvadorian spent his first 5 years in the minor leagues. In his first 4 to 5 seasons, he barely got noticed. In 2059 with Bartlett, R he played in just 23 games, hitting .196. In 2061 he moved up to A ball and hit .260 with 7 HRs in 83 games. For some reason that impressed GM Jim Roberts to call him up to AA for 3 games, then AAA to start out the 2062 season. Thats when his career took off. In 2063 he hit .277 with 28 HRs, a similar score in 2063.
Then in 2064, he got called up to the big club, and joined a packed outfield. It was unlikely he would stick. But stick he did. Winning the Rookie of the month award 3 times on way to a season where he hit .301 with 35 Home Runs, and driving in 99 RBI.
His career is just starting, and his development keeps trending in a positive direction. The Crawdads hope to be able to find room for him in a crowded outfield again in 2065,

Wishing that I had agreed to trade Luis Encarnacion for him now like you had originally asked. Great year for Truck Stop for sure!
