The Fever is hot in the Big Easy - as the landis championship series is coming to town.

A banner in the locker room says "Pitching has been the sore spot recently with New Orleans. - Chris Wilson". The team took that to heart after the 2051 media guide came out. New Orleans was projected to finish 4th in the Frick League Atlantic - due in large part to the pitching. Well that escalated quickly as New Orleans had the best staff during the regular season.

But in the post season, its been all about the bats. Mal Fountain has 6 home runs in 13 playoff games. Luis estrada is hitting .348 with 3 HRs, and Donestavez is hitting .328 with 3 HRs. New Orleans has been hitting well in the post season - which their pitching has needed.

Nebraska winner Billy Kelly's postseason ERA has balooned to 4.22 in the postseason. The now injured Christain Garcia (#2 in the Nebraska) is up to 7.42. The only ray of light is Allen Gunn (#4 in the Nebraska) who has remained steady. Zach Johnson (#8 in the Nebraska has also been adequate)

New Orleans postseason hopes rely on on the offense keeping up - and Billy Kelly becoming dominant. If the offense take a step back in the Landis, and the pitching holds serve with teh Cartwright - Portalnd will be holding the trophy come 9PM EST tonight.
