Crawdad Chronicles 42.06 - New Stadium Coming

Post by JimBob2232 » Mon May 25, 2020 11:38 am

Its been talked about for years, but today the New Orleans Crawdads announced they will be moving to a new stadium. It is uncler at the time of announcement when the stadium is expected to be completed and occupied.

The Karen Huckfeldt Memorial Stadium is scheduled to be demolished, but many of the key features will remain. We're looking to keep the dimentions roughly the same. Add some seating capacity, and make the field a little lower maintenance. In addition, we're going to be adding some features and vendors that the fans should be very excited about.

Also, Jim Roberts hinted that new uniforms and team logo might be coming with the new stadium. We recently acquired the services of a design firm to look into those options. It will take us some time to work through that. We certainly have some of the most iconic uniforms in the league - so not sure we want to deviate too far. But it will be fun to see where it goes.

So expect an announcemnt shortly - as soon as GM can figure out how to pen a longer article - stay tuned!

Looks like a fun off-season behind the scenes in New Orleans.
