KT 62.29 - McLeod (.389 in AAA) called up [is available, btw]

A couple of weeks after his 21st b-day, the DMO's number 2 pick in the '2060 amateur draft, who's hit .389 and slugged .529 in 57 starts at Triple-A El Paso, the best baseball in that desert town, the second&first baseman, the gangly guy from Beaumont, Texas, a city that stinks and sometimes explodes due to the petroleum industry, whose dad was an accountant and dreamed his firstborn would follow in his foot— well, Carl McLeod has been called up.

The unhappy but annual injury (or is it vacation?) of 3B Félix 'Matchbox' Parreno #37 has led to the open spot on the 27-man, and so McLeod joins fellow '60 draftee 2B Jesús Rosito #5 on the ML team. If you're counting, that makes nine, yes nine, rookies on the 27-man. This includes Hitoshi Kitamura, who will get the starting yes at third.

McLeod is available for trade, as he is cock-blocked by Alonso 'Huckleberry' 'Haiku' Flinn, who owns two nicknames and is leading the Kernels in batting average (.316), games started (58 out of 59), at-bats, doubles (15). Fans of the Poppers can enjoy the team regroup after a series-opening loss to that team from the stank city of Portland.
