The Kernels 2061 season will shudder to a stop after series at Louisville and against Yellow Springs. Dileep Mirchandani, Ken Haworth, Dave Lachance, lefty Mike Young, and rookie Arturo 'Pendragon' Damasco are the starting rotation, with Truman Burgess laid up for a few more days. Vernon Trenholm will continue in his closer role, where he has four saves in 13 appearances.

Masakado Matsunaga (.290-34-99) will continue to get time as the DH to get him a few more at bats. He is tied in ribbies with right fielder Julio Perez (.314-38-99), who's been sidelined since the first of September.

Felix Parreno (.238-26-69) has 44 steals and needs three more for a new season high. He's now first in games started with the Kernels with 1784. And first in at-bats, runs, runs batted-in, total bases, triples, and home runs. He is at 399 career home runs as a Kernel.

Will Lee has enrolled full time in pursuit of his business law degree. He is hitting .159, 17 for 107!

DMK needs to win seven out of its remaining eight games for JRamirez to match his freshman W-L record of 77-85.

Lee now has -4.6 career WAR, impressive. How many more PAs will he get? Reminds me of a bunch of the veteran middle infielders littered across the league when I joined in the early 2050s.

Matsunaga has really turned into a force. I had depth at C when I traded him away and Lawrence Stewart was more BBA ready at the time. I liked Matsunaga but he got some bumps after the trade too.
In the end, the deal worked out for both teams. Masuki helped stabilize my pitching staff and defense while Stewart has put up 10 WAR. And Matsunaga is tearing it up for the Kernels.

Two really successful later round catcher picks by you. Might need to go give your top catcher prospects TN a second look!

Both Matsu and Julio Perez are my prime witnesses that actually playing kids at the MLB level helps their development :)
