Des Moines Signs Mendoza Out of Mexico

Des Moines, trying to sneak under the radar before the traditional free agent season begins, signed SP Jaime Mendoza . Mendoza from the easy-to-pronounce city in Mexico known as Nezahualcóyotll, could be a hidden gem or in local parlance, a hidden Guatemalan Insanity Pepper. He project to have 7 Stuff, 6 Movement and 8 control.

So far he’s housing three pitches in his stable, an above average fastball, a great curveball and a good splitter to round it out.

Before moving North to Iowa, Mendoza was actively trying to avoid being recruited by the many street gangs in Nezahualcóyotl. Rumour has it, he mastered his curveball while throwing to his father on the grounds of the Old Bordo de Xochia Landfill. Amongst the numerous hazards he had to be mindful of when landing his plant-foot, were the many pockets of methane gas that would spring up and make his fathers pack a day lung dart habit even more hazardous.

Asked about whether he shares GM Geoff Webb’s same fear about the terrifying corn rows, Mendoza simply replied. “Meh, the only thing terrifying about corn rows, is thinking about all those suckers who think corn tortillas are the proper tortilla, but we know that flour is the way to go.”
 They say it don't be like it is, but it do!
