The Mounties won 3 to 2 over the Kernels. Kernel’s starting pitcher, Don Smith, had his sixth loss of the season, going 4.1 innings, giving up four hits, three runs, and three BB. Mounties’ starting pitcher, Jose Arellano, earned his fifth win of the season, going 7 innings, giving up three hits, two runs, and two BB. Arellano was named the player of the game. Kernel’s pitcher Don Smith was injured while pitching.


July 26, 2040. The Kernels scored one run in the first inning, one run in the fourth inning, one run in the seventh inning, and one run in the eighth inning. The Vancouver Mounties scored three runs in the third inning. The Kernels squeaked out the 4 to 3 win over the Mounties. Kernel’s relief pitcher, Francisco Rodriguez, earned his third win of the season, going 1.1 inning, giving up one hit, zero runs, and zero BB. Mounties’ relief pitcher, Felix Alvarado, had his fifth loss of the season, going 1.2 inning, giving up one hit, one run, and two BB. Kernel’s starting pitcher, Juan Garcia, was named the player of the game, going 6.2 innings, giving up seven hits, three runs, and three BB.
