July 17 - 19, 2040


The Kernels end a seven game road trip with a three game series with the Madison Wolves. The Wolves will take the series 2 to 1.


July 17, 2040. The Kernels scored two runs in the third inning, one run in the sixth inning, and one run in the seventh inning. The Madison Wolves scored one run in the third inning, two runs in the fourth inning, three runs in the fifth inning, and two runs in the eighth inning. The Wolves won 8 to 4 over the Kernels. Kernel’s starting pitcher, Jose Rivera, had his third loss of the season, going 4.2 innings, giving up nine hits, five runs, and one BB. Wolves’ starting pitcher, Juan Trujillo, earned his ninth win of the season, going 8 innings, giving up five hits, four runs, and zero BB. Wolves’ catcher, John Hale, was named the player of the game, with three hits, two runs including a home run, and two RBIs.


July 18, 2040. The Kernels scored two runs in the first inning, one run in the third inning, and one run in the fourth inning. The Madison Wolves scored three runs in the second inning. The Kernels pulled out the 4 to 3 win over the Wolves. Kernel’s starting pitcher, Duane Coutts, earned his third win of the season, going 7.1 innings, giving up eight hits, three runs, and zero BB. Coutts was named the player of the game. Wolves’ starting pitcher, Maxim Makin, had his seventh loss of the season, going 5.1 innings, giving up seven hits, four runs, and zero BB.


July 19, 2040. The Kernels scored one run in the first inning, one run in the sixth inning, one run in the seventh inning, one run in the eighth inning, and two runs in the ninth inning. The Madison Wolves scored two runs in the third inning, two runs in the seventh inning, one run in the eighth inning, and one run in the ninth inning. At the end of nine innings of play the score was tied at 6 to 6. The tenth inning was quite. The Kernels scored three runs in the eleventh inning which looked like it make seal the win, however, the Wolves came back by scoring four runs, winning the game 10 to 9 over the Kernels. Kernel’s relief pitcher, Jorge Aguilar, had his first loss of the season, giving up one hit, one run and one BB. Wolves’ relief pitcher, Chris Hall, earned his fourth win of the season, going .2 innings, giving up zero hits, runs, and BB. Wolves’ third baseman, Ross Quicker, was named the player of the game, with four hits, one run, and four RBIs. Wolves starting pitcher, Pedro Salduar was injured while pitching.
