Draft players 2039-04

Post by Edward Murphy » Sun Jul 28, 2019 9:33 am

Kernels went 5 for 5 signing all the players they drafted in 2029. The Kernels spent a total of 4.3 million in signing bonuses. First pick, was pitcher, Timmy ‘Donger’ Karnes, the 3rd overall pick. Timmy is an 18 year old, right handed pitcher, who has 3 pitches in his repertoire with great movement producing a lot of ground balls and is ranked the third best player in the BBA top 100 prospects. The second pick for the Kernels was short stop, Javier Castillo. Javier has great range for an 18 year old, and can play either short or second base. His only down fall is the weak arm strength. Third pick was catcher, Patrick Faber. Patrick is an 18 year old switch hitter. In high school, Patrick posted a .344 avg, .497 OBP, .582 SLG. He is under developed for a catcher but with time that will improve. The last two spots go to Antonio Suares and Bill Kemp. Both are going need time to develop to see if they can play in the majors. The Kernels are very pleased with the additions they made to the organization through the draft. They have great faith that these players all have the potential to make the majors.

I liked all these guys before the draft. Donger is going to be a beast with that crazy change-up. Castillo is such a great athlete. Good draft.

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.
