Kernels May in review 2039-02

Kernels are keeping the wins coming for May going 15 13. May had a few hot streaks by sweeping Vancouver Mounties and taking 3 out of 4 from the power house club California Crusaders. Benjamin Clark was announced as player of the week. Benjamin is one of the Kernels young rising players. He went 8 for 17, with 3 home runs, 6 rbi’s and scored 3 runs. At the end of May his numbers are .227/.284/.387.

Players of the Month

At the dish goes to LF Jorge 'Sheriff' Rodríguez with a .394/ .506/.591 slash with 66 at bats, Jorge drove in 13, 15 walks, and scored 12 times.

From the Hill, starting pitcher, Ragnar Lothbrok, takes the award. Ragnar started in 5 games pitching a total of 27 innings, striking out 24, 12 walks and allowed 27 hits, he posted a 3.33 ERA and went 2 -2.

Keep pushing. We are all rooting for Des Moines to win the Heartland. Well, everyone except the Heartland teams I suppose.
