Kernels April in review 2039-01

Opening day has come and gone and the Kernels have started the season on a winning note going 14 – 13 for April. The team looks very much last season’s with the exception of RP Jorge Aguilar, who was drafted 4th overall in the rule 5 from the Rockville Pikemen. In April, Jorge pitched a total of 13 and a third innings earning a win striking out 10 in 6 games and has posted a 2.70 ERA.
Players of the Month
From the hill goes to Closer Jose Castro, who appeared in eleven games. He collected 10 saves and one loss by giving up 10 hits, 1 home run, 2 walks and striking out 13 and has posted a 2.25 ERA for April.
At the dish, is second baseman Alan Williamson. Alan is not a home grown player, the Kernels acquired him in 2036, from a trade with San Fernando Bears for 1B William Moreland. Alan made 120 plate appearances with 26 hits, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 5 home runs and drove in 18 runs.
