Sim 7 Recap 2038-9

Kernels put together a respectable sim 7 going 3 – 3. Taking 2 from division rival Madison Wolves then losing two to Valencia Stars. Kernels record is 15 – 28 trailing the division leader by 13 games.


Pitcher of the Sim: Aaron Campbell

Aaron earned a one win and one save in two innings pitched. He allowed one walk and no earned runs. His win came against the Wolves. Aaron came into the game in the top of the sixth and shut down the Wolves. Then in the bottom half of the inning, the Kernels broke the game open scoring 6 runs taking an 8 – 7 lead. Abel van Gastel closed down and locked up his 2nd save of the season.

Batter of the Sim: John Hale

John went 6 for 17 with 6 RBI’s and 3 home runs. His biggest hit came against the Wolves on the first pitch he saw in the sixth. John connected for a Grand Slam giving the Kernels the lead. Kernels went on to win the game 9 – 7.
