Wow in sim 6, the Kernels go 1-5, and there are more low lights than high lights. Kernels are going on a 6 game road trip starting out at the Boise Spuds. The Kernels took the first game of the series 8 – 7 needing to go extra innings, as after 9 it was tied at 6 each. In the top half of the eleventh, Aloysius Gonzaga, scored on a throwing error on a ball hit by Don Draper. Then in the bottom half the Kernels gave back the run. Going to the thirteenth, the Kernels put a runner in scoring position allowing Long Chamberlain III to have the game winning RBI. After the game, Long Chamberlain III said “It wasn't a pretty win, but we got it done.” The Kernels also lost closer Jose Castro for 4 weeks due to shoulder inflammation. The Spuds went on the win the last two games of the series. The losing streak continued against the California Crusaders. The Crusaders out scored the Kernels 12 – 5. On the flight back, Manager Bill Welsh said “the Crusaders kept us guesting the whole series we didn’t know what pitch was coming and our lack of hitting showed it.”
