Series Recap Kernels vs Wolves Starting the 2036 Brewster Baseball Association season, the Des Moines Kernels are on the road, opening up against division rival Madison Wolves. Last season the Wolves doubled up on the wins going 8 -4 against the Kernels.

April 1, 2036 Taking the hill for the Kernels was Ragnar Lothbrok, who went 13-7 with an ERA 3.52 for the 2035 season. The game was all Wolves as starting pitcher Mario Gonzalez and the pen kept the Kernels guessing all day long only allowing 4 hits all game. The only chance the Kernels had to score came in the top of the ninth after reliever Sean Spits walked 3 batters to load the bases. Lead off batter, William Hardy came to the plate and worked the count to 3-2, when he made contact, he grounded out to end the game. The Wolves first win of the 2036 was a shut out 0 - 3.


April 2, 2036 2035 season Kernels nineteen game winner, Elwood Blues, has his first start for the 2036 season. Elwood tossed 102 pitches over 7.1 innings to clinch the win for the Kernels. The right-hander allowed just 5 hits, while racking up 3 strikeouts in the game. Abel Van Gastel, was credited with the save. The Kernels went on to win a nail biter 3-2 and collected their first win of the season.


April 2, 2036 Trying to win the series, Kernels put right hander, Mario Villarreal on the bump. Mario had a good outing allowing only 7 hits, 2 earned runs and 4 strike outs. However, what doomed the Kernels of their first series win were errors. Kernels had a total of 3 allowing the Wolves to extend the innings. The Wolves went on and topped the Des Moines Kernels, 8 - 4.
