Series Recap Kernels vs California Crusaders – April 2035
April 19, 2035. The California Crusaders scored four runs in the first inning, two runs in the third inning, and one run in the sixth inning. The Crusaders scored a total of 7 runs off of 5 hits. The Kernels only managed to score one run in the eighth inning from their 5 game hits. The Crusaders won 7 to 1 over the Kernels. Kernel’s starting pitcher, Ragnar Lothbrok, had his second loss of the season, going 3.2 innings, giving up four hits, six runs, and one walk. Crusader’s starting pitcher Cisco Morales, earned his fourth win of the season, going 6.2 innings, giving up three hits, zero runs, and one walk. Morales was named the player of the game. Crusader bats were hot as John Cochran, and Flynn Johnson each hit a home run. Fernando Moreno managed to hit two home runs.


April 20, 2035. The Kernels scored two runs in the first inning, one run in the four inning, and one run in the ninth inning. The Kernels scored a total of 4 runs off of 8 hits. The California Crusaders scored one run in the fourth inning, and four runs in the sixth inning. The Crusaders scored a total of 5 runs off of 8 hits. The Crusaders won 5 to 4 over the Kernels. Kernel’s relief pitcher, Johnny Tucker, had his first loss of the season, going .2 innings, giving up three hits, three runs, and zero walks. Crusader’s starting pitcher, Miguel Ramos, earned his first win of the season, going 6 innings, giving up six hits, three runs, and two walks. Crusader’s second baseman, Claudio Defazio, was named the player of the game, with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the sixth inning. Crusader’s Fernando Moreno also hit a home run. Kernel’s Joao Silva and Cisco Arreola both hit home runs as well.


April 21, 2035. The California Crusaders scored one run in the third inning, and one run in the seventh inning. The Crusaders scored a total of 2 runs off of 3 hits. The Kernels were unable to score any runs off of their 7 game hits. The Crusaders shut out the Kernels with the 2 to 0 victory and swept the three game series. Kernel’s starting pitcher, Patrick Patchett, had his second loss of the season, going 6 innings, giving up three hits, two runs, and three walks. Crusader’s starting pitcher, Jaime Mercado, earned his second win of the season, going 7.1 innings, giving up five hits, zero runs, and one walk. Mercado was named the player of the game. Crusader’s catcher, Chip Saunders, and first baseman, Fernando Moreno each hit a solo home run, which was enough to win the game.
