Series Recap San Fernando Bears vs Kernels – April 2035
April 12, 2035. The Kernels finally were able to play in Flight 93 Memorial Park for the season home opener. Coming off of winning a three game series the team was excited to be at home. However, the San Fernando Bears scored two runs in the first inning, one run in the fourth inning, and three runs in the eighth inning. The Bears scored a total of 6 runs off of 12 hits. The Kernels were only able to score two runs in the second inning. The Kernels had a total of 4 hits. The Bears won 6 to 2 over the Kernels. Kernel’s starting pitcher, Don Bird http://montybrewster.net/BBA/HTML/news/ ... 27369.html, had his first loss of the season, going 5 innings, giving up nine hits, three runs, and one walk. Bear’s starting pitcher, Ernie Kinney http://montybrewster.net/BBA/HTML/news/ ... 36339.html, earned his second win of the season, going 8.1 innings, giving up four hits, two runs, and three walks. Kinney was named the player of the game.


April 13, 2035. The Kernels scored two runs in the first inning, one run in the second inning, two runs in the fourth inning, one run in the sixth inning, and two runs in the eighth inning. The Kernels scored 8 runs off of 9 hits. The San Fernando Bears scored one run in the second inning, and two runs in the sixth inning. The Bears scored a total of 3 runs off of 8 hits. The Kernels won 8 to 3 over the Bears. Kernel’s starting pitcher, Ragnar Lothbrok http://montybrewster.net/BBA/HTML/news/ ... 34959.html , earned his second win of the season, going 5.2 innings, giving up six hits, three runs, and two walks. Bear’s starting pitcher, Rahmat Subadio, had his first loss of the season, going 5 innings, giving up eight hits, five runs, and zero walks. Kernel’s center fielder, Roberto Lopez http://montybrewster.net/BBA/HTML/news/ ... 24072.html, was named the player of the game, belting out 2 home runs, scoring 3 and driving in 2 runs.


April 14, 2035. The San Fernando Bears scored four runs in the first inning, and one run in the eighth inning. The Kernels scored one run in the first inning, and four runs in the third inning. At the end of nine innings of play the score was tied at 5 all. The Bears put up two runs in the top of the tenth inning. The Kernels were able to match the two runs in the bottom of the tenth inning. The Kernels pulled out the 8 to 7 win with a run in the twelfth inning. Kernel’s relief pitcher, Enrique Vazquez http://montybrewster.net/BBA/HTML/news/ ... 31944.html , earned his first win of the season, going 2.2 innings, giving up one hit, one run, and four walks. Bear’s relief pitcher, Carlos Delgado http://montybrewster.net/BBA/HTML/news/ ... 25732.html, had his first loss of the season, going 1.1 inning, giving up one hit, one run, and one walk. Kernel’s first baseman, William Mooreland http://montybrewster.net/BBA/HTML/news/ ... 26731.html, was named the player of the game. Mooreland had two home runs, one in the third inning and a second in the twelfth inning to win the game. Kernel’s relief pitcher, Rafael Cruz http://montybrewster.net/BBA/HTML/news/ ... 25999.html, was injured while pitching.
