April 1, 2035. The Yellow Springs Nine started the game strong scoring two runs in the first inning. They added one run in the third inning, and one run in the sixth inning. Yellow Springs Nine scored a total of 4 runs off of 8 hits, including a 2 run home run by first baseman, Lucas McNeill in the first inning.. The Kernels were unable to score any runs from their 4 hits. The Yellow Springs Nine shut out the Kernels with a 4 to 0 victory. Kernel’s starting pitcher, Ragnar Lothbrok, had his first loss of the season, going 7 innings, giving up five hits, three runs, and 2 walks. Yellow Springs Nine starting pitcher, Jose Chavez, earned his first win of the season, going 7 innings, giving up two hits, zero runs, and one walk. Chavez was named the player of the game.
April 2, 2035. This game was a pitcher’s duel until the bottom of the sixth inning, when the Yellow Springs Nine were able to score 1 run when designated hitter, Dave Brake, stroked a run-scoring double. That was the only run of the game as the Yellow Springs Nine shut out the Kernels for a second day in a row. The Yellow Springs Nine managed to have 6 hits compared to the Kernel’s 2 hits. Kernel’s starting pitcher, Ramon Hernandez, had his first loss of the season, going 7.1 innings, giving up six hits, one run, and two walks. Yellow Springs Nine starting pitcher, Lawrence Columbus LaLoosh, earned his first win of the season, going 6.2 innings, giving up two hits, zero runs, and three walks
April 3, 2035. After 21 scoreless innings, the Kernels finally scored one run in the fourth inning. They had a total of 7 hits, however, were only able to score the one run which was Kernel’s first baseman, William Moreland, first home run of the season.. The Yellow Springs Nine scored 2 runs in the fifth inning. The Yellow Springs Nine swept the opening series with the 2 to 1 win over the Kernels. Kernel’s starting pitcher, Patrick Patchett, had his first loss of the season, going 6 innings, giving up six hits, two runs, and one walk. Yellow Springs Nine, starting pitcher, Gerardo Fajardo, earned his first win of the season, going 7.1 innings, giving up six hits, one run, and two walks. Fajardo was named the player of the game.

So many times I get good pitching with little to no run support. both were win able games.
