Here's the good news: Birmingham played better baseball than they had up until this point. Now, the bad news: Birmingham suffered through another 4-6 sim, splitting six home games and characteristically going 1-3 on the road. If this goes on much longer, Birmingham will start looking silly for having raised preseason expectations and will undoubtedly have to start dealing players.
"We're going to have to go on a big run soon, or else things will have to change around here," said manager Lou Brown. "We're preparing for the worst."
Birmingham players haven't given up yet, as they realize that the season is still young.
"We have what, 127 games to play yet? Everyone cool their jets," said Medric Wood, one of the bright spots for Birmingham so far this season with a .905 OPS thus far. "The guys will come around. Wait and see."
It had better happen soon, or else Birmingham has every reason to cut payroll and regroup for next season.

I wish Finch was in the last year of that deal and holy crap is Dibble getting crushed by LHBs.

The whole bullpen is getting crushed, in case you didn't notice.
Actually, Finch being in the last year of his deal would have been great. If Brown was I'd have probably kept them both.

The Bandits are too solid to play this badly. I wish this wasn't true, but they'll bounce back.

it looks like the Dibble I saw in the playoffs is the one he truly is. Not the one that had the long stretch in the middle of the season without being scored upon.
