BEST PITCHER
SP Sakutaro Kawano
This award probably has been the most consistent and expected from year to year. There may be other pitchers in the running and maybe even winning in a particular year but Sakutaro is the ace of the staff year after year. This season was no different in that he was S1 throughout the entire year and earned the top honor once again. He was 12-15 for the year with a 4.54 ERA and allowed 255 hits and 69 walks over 230 inning pitched. He carried a .317 BABIP and 3.88 FIP earning a WAR of 4.7, the second highest of his career. He would have been an honorable mention for a Nebraska if it wasn’t for the awful month of July when he went 0-3 with a 9.00 ERA over 5 starts. Sakutaro is one of the most consistent starters in the game routinely throwing 110-115 pitches an outing.

CL Owen “Conman” McKelvey
The Conman went 10-5 with 25 saves and a 3.05 ERA over a team high 59 games pitched.
TOP ROOKIE PITCHER
SP Leland Rogers
The top rookie hurler turned out to be 2055 1st round pick Leland Rogers. He was drafted 6th overall by the Outlaws and played 2 years of minor league ball. He received a cup of coffee last year and showed enough promise to bring him back mid season this year. He went 4-7 with a 4.40 ERA over 15 starts this season.
