Coaching Moves

With the Landis Series over, and a big shout out to fellow Frontier badass Edmonton, the inevitability of change begins to take shape in San Antonio.

It will come as no surprise that the changes start with the coaching staff went from hero to zero in just one short year. Following a tense closed door meeting with his coaches that culminated in some dramatic actions from Pitching coach, GM Calvaruso announced today that a transformation has started.

Former Pitching Coach Garry Stewart has decided to retire and is considering a new career as either a hand model or butcher. Former Hitting Coach Ramon Hernandez has chosen to resign and word is he has, unfortunately, voluntarily committed himself to an "adult recreational facility" to help with his night terrors and nerves. Team Trainer Diego Sanchez and Bench Coach Von Dixon did not have their contracts renewed.

But the changes do not stop their as several players will reportedly not be offered arbitration. P Francisco Cardona, P Jorge Luna, P Luis Pasillas, C Conner Hamilton, SS Ian Patrick Anderson, LF Tony Vega, CF Mennac Shakes will all be hitting the free agent market. There are ongoing discussions with agents to potentially bring some of the guys back a updated rate but it remains to be seen if anything materializes.

The Outlaws have been in contact with several coaching candidates and interviews are ongoing.
